I first stepped into the world of Medicare as a work-from-home telesales agent for a large national agency. For about a year, I worked 40–60 hour weeks in a fast-paced call center — fielding call after call, helping clients from all over the country solve their unique Medicare situations. It was valuable experience, but eventually I realized something was missing. I wanted to take more time with each client — to really understand their needs and provide a personal, long-term approach to their health coverage. That’s what led me to start Cheek Financial.
That call center grind taught me a lot in a short amount of time. I went in knowing next to nothing about Medicare — and came out with deep knowledge, confidence, and a passion for helping others make sense of it. My mission now is simple: to share that knowledge with my clients, empowering them to become savvy Medicare consumers. Most agents will sit down with you, explain your options, and give a recommendation. I go a step further — I want my clients to truly understand their coverage, so they can make informed decisions year after year.
